Based in Coweta County, TDCC provides dedicated, high-standard care tailored to the unique needs of every pet. We understand that your animals are family members, and we treat them with the same precision, safety, and affection that we provide our own "team" at home.
Our Story
Every great venture begins with a passion, and ours happens to have four legs, a wagging tail, and a lot of purrs.
Before Team Dotson Creature Care (TDCC) became a trusted name for local pet parents, it was simply our everyday life. Our story is rooted in a shared, lifelong love for animals and a fundamental belief that leaving your pets behind shouldn't mean compromising on their care, safety, or routine.
From Central Florida to Georgia: Our Journey with the Team
Our story begins in Central Florida, where we both grew up surrounded by pets and developing a lifelong love for animals. Shortly after getting married, we started our own team with a beagle/Jack Russell mixed dog Leelah, and soon after welcomed a bearded dragon into the team. When life took us north to Michigan, for the first time, our team grew with the addition of our second dog, Aurora. An unexpected return to Florida then a second move back to Michigan marked a major chapter for us as we opened our hearts to five cats and, though we heartbreakingly lost two of them due to severe health issues, they remain a deeply cherished part of our journey.
Today, we are happily settled in Coweta County, where our team continues to grow. Here, we have welcomed three additional cats to our feline crew, brought home our two newest dogs, Artemis and Apep, and even added a small flock of chickens to the mix. Every step of our journey across the country has been shaped by the animals we love, providing us with a lifetime of hands-on experience managing the unique personalities, joys, and daily routines of a truly diverse, multi-pet household.
Born from a Busy Pack
The true inspiration behind TDCC comes from our own home in unincorporated Coweta County. Managing a bustling household of eight teammates: six distinct cats and two high-energy, high-drive dogs (a Pitbull/Staffy mix and a Belgian Malinois/Pitbull mix), and the chickens guides our experience with animal behavior, specialized routines, and the delicate balance of a multi-pet ecosystem.
When we relocated our entire crew to Georgia, we experienced firsthand the immense anxiety of trying to find pet care that met our standards. We didn't just want someone to drop in and fill a bowl; we wanted someone who understood the subtle shifts in a cat’s mood, the mental stimulation a working dog breed needs, and the necessity of absolute reliability.
We realized that if we were searching for that elite level of dedicated, structured care, other pet parents in the Newnan area were too.

We decided to pour our hearts into building a business that offers exactly what we were searching for. We wanted to create a space where professional reliability goes hand-in-hand with the gentle, intuitive care that only comes from a lifetime of loving animals. By combining our individual strengths, we’ve built a seamless support system designed to give you total peace of mind and your pets the highest level of comfort and attention.

In the Field: Erin stepped into the lead role, bringing over 30 years of multi-pet household experience and professional Dog and Cat First Aid certification to the frontline. Her background in administrative excellence means every sitting is treated with the highest ethical standards, meticulous attention to detail, and genuine love.

Behind the Scenes: Matt works full time in the aviation industry and in his off-work hours keeps up with the operations and administration side of the business. By managing the scheduling, business details, and support systems, he ensures Erin can focus 100% of her energy where it belongs: on your pets.

Erin Dotson | Lead Caregiver & Client Relations
Erin is the heart of TDCC, handling nearly all client interactions and hands-on sittings. Her approach to pet care is rooted in a rare blend of professional discipline and lifelong experience:

Lifelong Expertise: Erin has over 30 years of experience living in and managing multi-pet households, giving her an intuitive understanding of animal behavior and the dynamics of diverse "creature" families.

Safety Certified and Insured: For added peace of mind, she is fully insured and has successfully completed specialized Dog and Cat First Aid courses, ensuring she is prepared for the unexpected while your pets are in her care.

Professional Background: A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Erin also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Penn State. As a licensed notary, she brings a high level of integrity, organization, and attention to detail to every home she enters.
Matt Dotson | Operations & Administration
While Erin is in the field, Matt manages the administrative and logistical side of TDCC. He ensures that scheduling, communications, and business operations run seamlessly behind the scenes. His support allows Erin to focus entirely on providing the highest quality of care and companionship to your pets.
